Obedience is better than sacrifice
Vs 2-3 Samuel gave Saul a mission
God spoke to Samuel to have the Amalekites utterly destroyed
because of the way they treated the jewish people when they were
about to enter the promise land. This included men, women,
children, and livestock.
Vs 8-9 Saul disobeyed God
Saul decided to spare the Agag, king of Amalekites, and the
livestock that were good for sacrifice.
