Others sins can affect us

II Samuel 21:1-9

There was three years of famine in Israel. David inquired of the Lord, James 1:5.

Problem: Saul's putting to death the Gibeonites

Inquiry: David checks with the Gibeonites on what would
satisfy their need.

Solution: The handing over of 7 of Sauls sons to the Gibeonites.

Application: If we are going through some rough times and we are walking with the Lord,
what we are going through could be a result of someone else's sin. Ask the Lord for wisdom
on this (James 1:5).

Thoughts from the Bible

Mystery Babylon (Revelation 17):

I believe that this is no longer a mystery because of the following:
1. Sits on many waters - Babylon sits among various rivers.
2. Lives in the wilderness - Iraq is mostly a desert.
3. The seven heads represent past empires, i.e. Rom.
4. The 10 horns probably represent the Common Market
nations. They will rebel against her.
5. Many nations have funneled billions of dollars into the Iraqi
country. Including France, Germany, & Russia. This is the
immoral relationship these countries have had with Iraq.
6. Sadam has rebuilt Babylon the way it once was.
7. Many of today's false religions have their origin in Babylon.
8. Babylon was the first world government.

What do you think????
