Thoughts on Last Days - America

I do not have scripture to go along with this but I think
you will find this thought provoking. I welcome input to
this.
I have been thinking about our country and why it
continues to go down hill in numerous ways. Such
areas are immigration, morals, standards, education,
& etc. I remember I read where Bill Clinton once said
that our country must become weaker. I wondered
why he said this. Recently it finally hit me why he
said this. As long as America is a solid, making
technology advances, has growing economy then
European Union will never advance to a world
government. We have to become a third world
country in order for prophecy can be fullfilled
concerning the formation of the world government.

You say that we no longer have Bill Clinton in
office. I hate to tell you but this process continues
at a faster rate during the Bush Administration.

You do not one day say that we are now going
to have a world government. It has to be broken
down. First there was the European Union.
Starting with Bush Sr he pushed through
NAFTA. Now is son is leaving the borders
open and trying to establish trade with
central and South American countries.
Goal is to unite the western hemisphere countries.

Obtaining Spiritual Authority

Matt 8:5-10 & Matt 10:1
1. Must be 0bedient in everything
No grumbling, just do it
When we do not want to do something
we can ask him to helps us to follow him.
2. Must know our masters very well
Know what he desires & how he thinks.
If he gives us authority, then we represent
him.
This means spending alot of time with him.
3. Authority is given to us

Circumstances are for bringing us close to God

Amos 4:

Despite the below circumstances they did not turn to God.
1. God caused them to go without food
2. He withheld the rain prior to the harvest.
3. Sent down rain on one city but not another.
4. Sent scorching heat, mildew, caterpillars on their crops.
5. He brought on diseases on them.
6. He slew their soldiers.
7. He overthrew them by nature means.

Application:
1. Examine your own life. Has tragedy struck your life.
2. Did you seek out God.
3. If not then confess your lack dependence to Him.
God desires us to depend on Him.
God builds character through circumstances.

Infirmities are sometimes for bringing glory to God

Acts 3 - 4:4

Peter and John were going to a prayer meeting when a beggar,
who was being carried to the temple to beg, asked them for money.
Peter demanded that the beggar focus on them. The beggar expecting
money gave them his attention. Peter claimed that they did not have
riches but pulled the beggar to his feet and the beggar began to walk.
The beggar was jumping for joy, he was around 41 years old and lame
from birht..
People came running to see this man that had been crippled.
This gave Peter the opportunity to share the Gospel. He declared
that because of their sin they kill Jesus. Peter also showed them
that the patriarchs of old predicted this Jesus would come.
The people listening to this became convicted of their sin and
turned their life of to Jesus.

How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who
has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as
unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified,
and has insulted the Spirit of grace.

Security for Doomsday

Zeph 1:18 & 2:3

As I was reading through this section, my thoughts were about
America. As I read about the news it baffles me that God had
not fully judged this nation. Recently I saw a news items that
literally brought me to tears. I had to spend some time in
prayer after reading it.

Even those who are not believers know that the big day is
coming. Commentatores who warn about this day encourage
people to buy precious metals to protect themselves during
this time.

Well guess what! When that day comes it will not matter
how secure finacially we are.

Solution: Seek the Lord & he may hid us from this Zeph 2:3

Renewing a relationship with God

II Chron 29

Condition of Relationship with God:
1. Had long abanded walking with Lord.
2. God's wrath was against them

Steps to renewal:
1. Clean out temple - get rid of all the
trash that gets in our way of Lord.
i.e. habits, neglecting time with
Lord by having other pursuits.
2. Make sacrifices - start spending time
with Lord on a daily basis, not just
Sunday. Giving - tithing.
3. Praising the Lord - through song and
prayer.
